Building a game engine from scratch
- Engineered a profiler within the engine to track the most time-consuming functions, and implemented multithreaded workers to handle these jobs for a 40% increase in program efficiency.
- Utilized Visual Studio’s graphics debugger to better visualize rendering bugs and improve shader implementation efficiency by 30%.
- Gained an advanced understanding of HLSL shaders (toon, lambert, rim, etc) as well as lighting, materials, normal maps, and post-processing to upgrade the user’s visual experience.
