My Hot Vampire Date is Trying to Kill Me! is a card game where monsters are trying to kill you while you play go fish against your hot vampire date. Keep track of your cards, stay aware of your surroundings, and manage your date’s affection and tension meters to win her love.

Made with a team of 5 over the course of a semester, for CSCI 526.

My Responsibilities:

1. Planned out, managed, and logged tasks between members for the entire semester, adjusting as necessary
2. Implemented card game base classes for rapid iteration of different potential card games during prototyping phase
3. Designed and implemented tutorial loop to teach mechanics
4. Iterated on different card designs based on playtest feedback for readabilty and simplicity
5. Added various VFX (angry, love, powerup, candle snuff) for visual clarity
6. Managed dynamic sprites to indicate vampire states (bored, normal, excited)
